Boku No Kanojo Wa Saibogu/ Cyborg She

Synopsis: a.k.a My Girlfriend, the Cyborg

Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Comedy

Jiro (Keisuke Koide) is a lonesome college student. He's spending his 20th birthday alone, when suddenly, a beautiful girl (Haruka Ayase) appears and takes a liking to him. The few hours that he spends with her are the most incredible moments of his life and Jiro is lovestruck. But his happiness does not last long since she disappears from his life at the end of this magical night. A year later on his 21st birthday, Jiro runs into her again. She looks the same, but is somewhat different. He soon discovers she is a cyborg from the future, sent back on an important mission.

This movie was made by My Sassy Girl's director Kwak Jae Young. It doesn't run with the whole Windstruck and My Sassy Girl continuation but the whole heroine-wimpy man thing that people seem to love. So, it's a Japanese cast under a Korean helm, which is awesome! I think Haruka Ayase was pretty good in this one. It may be a Sci-Fi movie, but it's good, and don't expect any water works, not unless you're a real softy... Enjoy!

Baby and I

Synopsis:

Genre: Comedy, Drama
Han Joon Soo (Jang Geun Suk) is a handsome rebellious 19 year old high school student. His parents "ran away from home" in hopes of teaching him a lesson. He suddenly acquires his baby, named Woo Ram (Mun Mason). With the help of a smart but weird girl (Kim Byeol), he now has no choice but to take care of Woo Ram and attend to his breast milk needs, while trying to stay in school and feed himself.

I'm admitting now that Jang Geun Suk is one of my favorite young Korean actors today (He's in Do Re Mi and Beethoven Virus). I really liked him here in the movie. He's a bad boy, a cutie, and a softie all at the same time! And look at Mason! He's so cute! Those big round eyes and that smile! Both of them are a combination made in movie heaven! Did I mention that Mason was to die for?! Go and see them both!!
