Hana Yori Dango Final

Genre: Romance, Comedy

Domyoji (Jun Matsumoto) holds a big press conference to announce his wedding to Makino (Inoue Mao). The press is playing her up like a Cinderella of the day. Even Domyoji's mother, who tried to break them up doggedly, is now happy for them and offers Makino a family hearloom, a tiara worth 10 billion yen called "Smile of Venus". The tiara is believed to bring its owner everlasting love and happiness. However, a man in black steals the tiara! The trail to recover the tiara starts from Tokyo to Las Vegas, Hong Kong, a deserted island and more. But who is trying to separate the couple?

The movie was awesome! It's truly a good ending to a great drama. I love the suspenseful-ness of it all and I think most of the actors and actresses were getting better in acting. Go and watch it! Aww... I'm going to miss them... but on to the Korean version!!...weee!!

Boku No Kanojo Wa Saibogu/ Cyborg She

Synopsis: a.k.a My Girlfriend, the Cyborg

Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Comedy

Jiro (Keisuke Koide) is a lonesome college student. He's spending his 20th birthday alone, when suddenly, a beautiful girl (Haruka Ayase) appears and takes a liking to him. The few hours that he spends with her are the most incredible moments of his life and Jiro is lovestruck. But his happiness does not last long since she disappears from his life at the end of this magical night. A year later on his 21st birthday, Jiro runs into her again. She looks the same, but is somewhat different. He soon discovers she is a cyborg from the future, sent back on an important mission.

This movie was made by My Sassy Girl's director Kwak Jae Young. It doesn't run with the whole Windstruck and My Sassy Girl continuation but the whole heroine-wimpy man thing that people seem to love. So, it's a Japanese cast under a Korean helm, which is awesome! I think Haruka Ayase was pretty good in this one. It may be a Sci-Fi movie, but it's good, and don't expect any water works, not unless you're a real softy... Enjoy!

Baby and I

Genre: Comedy, Drama
Han Joon Soo (Jang Geun Suk) is a handsome rebellious 19 year old high school student. His parents "ran away from home" in hopes of teaching him a lesson. He suddenly acquires his baby, named Woo Ram (Mun Mason). With the help of a smart but weird girl (Kim Byeol), he now has no choice but to take care of Woo Ram and attend to his breast milk needs, while trying to stay in school and feed himself.

I'm admitting now that Jang Geun Suk is one of my favorite young Korean actors today (He's in Do Re Mi and Beethoven Virus). I really liked him here in the movie. He's a bad boy, a cutie, and a softie all at the same time! And look at Mason! He's so cute! Those big round eyes and that smile! Both of them are a combination made in movie heaven! Did I mention that Mason was to die for?! Go and see them both!!

Family Outing

Genre: Comedy, Variety Show

Family Outing (aka Family's Here) is a reality show, where the "Family" (Yu Jae Suk, Lee Hyo Ri (Fin K.L), Yoon Jong Shin, Park Ye Jin, Kim Soo Ro, Lee Chun Hee, Dae Sung (Big Bang)) goes to an elderly's home in the countrysides of South Korea and takes care of the home while the elderly family goes on a vacation. During their stay, the "Family" takes on tasks assigned by the elderly family. During the tasks, the Family will play games related to the surroundings. They will also cook dinner and breakfast for themselves during their stay. A "Popular Vote" game is played before they go to bed, as to where the members of the family will sleep. At the end of their stay, the elderly family will return to the home and be greeted by the Family as they will move on to their next destination. The "Family" also have new guest family members that become part of the family for the day. Guests have included stars from Shinhwa, F.T. Island, Fly to the Sky, DBSK, SNSD, and a lot more.

I looove this show! It's really funny! At first I thought it was boring, but no!! It's funny! I watched this show because I was waiting for the subs of We Got Married to come out... So I clicked this one and now, I'm a fan! The youtube video is the family singing the Family Song. I couldn't find any sort of trailer for the show, but I think this preview shows how fun the show can be... And their games are always awesome and funny! Trust me! A great variety show!

Beethoven Virus (Drama)

Genre: Drama, Music, Romance

Kang Gun Woo (Kim Myung Min) is an orchestra conductor in his 40's. He is an elite workaholic conductor who has a very bad reputation. He is known as someone who will do absolutely anything in order to create the very best music. However, due to his self-righteous and stubborn personality he thinks that only his thoughts are correct which makes him unable to form good relationships with those around him. He meets Du Ru Mi (Lee Ji Ah), a violinist, and a trumpet player (Jang Geun Suk), who has the same name as him, and together they form a love triangle.

I got intrigued by this one because of the poster actually. I checked it out and it's a drama with a lot of music in it! PLUS! After 'googling' this drama, I found out that Jang Geun Suk (Do Re Mi...) is in it!! How cute! He looks and feels different between the two movie/drama he's done... Enjoy!

Code Blue (Drama)

Genre: Drama, Medical

The drama's full title is "Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei." The concept is based on Japan's proposal for an emergency medical service using helicopters to quickly reach those in need. A special bill was passed in June 2007 that should foster widespread adoption of the system. Yamashita Tomohisa, Aragaki Yui, Toda Erika and Asari Yosuke, star as young doctors-in-training, working under the guidance of an experienced "flight doctor" (Toshiro Yanagiba). Some scenes will be filmed with a real helicopter, adding to the show's tension. Credits: tokyograph

My Progress
I wasn't really keen on watching this one due to my feelings of how Yamashita-san and Aragaki-san acts. But hey, I'm watching it! And oddly, they might have excelled in acting for this one. I am yet to see how this one goes, but it looks very promising. And with all the medical jargon they are saying, I'm glad I understand most of them...hehehe... yay!

Jung Won then starts developings feelings for Eun Gyu, who is the lead singer in a band called Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do. Eun Gyu also starts to develop similar feelings for Jung Won. The two soon become a couple.

With an odd twist of fate, Jung-won goes to the bands rehearsal room and meets a familiar person from her past, a boy named Hee Won (Jeong Ui Cheol). Their relationship makes everything make more complicated. 10 years ago, Jung Won and Hee Won were close friends, but because of a personal matter stopped talking to each other completely. Jung Won is now surprised to learn that her ex-close friend is now best friends with her boyfriend.

Hee Won admits that he still likes his bestfriend and he wants her back. Now Jung Won is torn between her friendship with Hee Won and her love Eun Gyu.

It was a feel good movie with two eye candies!! I think that the two male characters were better than the female character, but heck, it was an o.k movie with good music. Oh! And the guy who played the doctor in Snow Queen is here as the girl's younger brother... he looks so young and he fits the role, even though he's 20-ish!... Uwaah... cool!

My Lovely Sam Soon (Drama)

Genre: Drama, Romance, Comedy

A Le Cordon Bleu trained patissier, a pushing 30 Kim Sam Soon (Kim Sun Ah) is battling obesity, the humiliation of her name, someone whose heart was broken, and is jobless. She then meets the 27 years old, rude and hunky owner of a French restaurant, Hyun Jin Heon (Hyun Bin). After a lot of bickerings and conditions, she agrees to be the patissier of the restaurant. Things get heated up, messed up and and blown out of proportions in this funny, romantic comedy for the people who know what it means to love, be humiliated, be left out and be in the middle of everything. A must see for everyone.

A really really good drama to sit, watch and have fun with! A lot of laughs, awwws, and possibly tears... It's nice to see a clean, young and different Hyun Bin, and don't forget Daniel Henney ladies!!... Sizzle!!

We Got Married

Genre: Comedy, Variety Show

Eight famous actors, actress and singers are brought together to be "married". The show follows every moment that the couples spend during their filming days. Each show has a "mission" and it's the couples' turn to do what they, or their partner, would want to do.

This show is very very very very very interesting! I loooove this show! At first, I thought it was boring and very scripted, but as I kept on watching, I soon dropped my previous feeling. Even though they are given 'missions' by the show, they themselves think of what to say and what to do. It's just so cute how they react to each other like real couples out there. If you need something that would be a funny relief from your stressful day, then try this funny show. You might be wondering why in the beginning, there's a couple that is the in the piccy, well, they "divorced", so the show added new couples, but it got too crowded and cramming a lot of the couples' air time, so they had to drop another couple. Yeaaah... but it's still very good! A!

Edit: Andy-oppa!!! Don't leave!!

Edit 2: Waaa!!! AnBi!!! and now, AlShin!! My two favorite couples!! Noooo!! It's not going to be the same again!!!

Edit 3: Now HwanYobi!!! Argh! It's seriously losing its magic, but it's still entertaining with Kang In and Yoon Ji...

Aihara Ryo (Narumi Riko) is the outcast in school. No buddies, which means, no use for a cellphone because there won't be anybody to talk to. She then hears a cellphone ringing, and she 'answers'. Suprisingly, a young man, Nozaki Shinya (Keisuke Koide), says hello on the other end. A surprised Ryo then softens up to the man and follows his directions. A series of events that would interest the viewers of all ages.

This movie has been on my list for a while now, but I didn't get around to watch it until now. All I can say is watch it! It's unique and interesting! If you like Koizora or Tada Kimi, then I think you'll like this too.

Koizora/ Sky of Love

Genre: Drama, Romance

Based on a popular true story cell phone novel in Japan, Koizora has taken over the box office.

Mika (Aragaki Yui) and Hiro (Muira Haruma) fell in love in highschool. During those three years, this couple would have to endure a lot of hardships during their young relationship. But something happens that would hurt both parties and move its viewers to tears.

I've heard a lot of comments on Koizora, so I got intruiged. There were no english subs when I tried to look for it, so I waited. And tadaaa, english subs are now available! I watched it immediately. Although the story is predictable in a way, this was a true story! Can you believe that? There were parts of the story that seems unreal to me (spoiler alert!) like the library scene (end of spoiler!). Anyways, this was a very good story and I could just feel the love between Mika and Hiro. A total love story... have some tissues handy ok!...>_<... Loooove it!

Ueno Juri and Eita from Nodame Cantabile, Nishikido Ryo from 1 Litre of Tears, and Nagasawa Masami from Crying out Love, in the Center of the World. Aaaaah! Another sad drama! But in the end, ......, shhh.... can't tell! Hmm... there were a lot of crying in here, so I wonder if Choi Ji Woo's (Yu-jin) eyes were swollen the whole time... hmm... Anywayz, it's a pretty good drama, especially for the fans of Bae Yong Jun.

Moon Child

Genre: Action, Drama

In the year 2014, Japan has collapsed economically and thus its people emigrated in large numbers and settled in other parts of the world. In a corner in Asia, there is a little city called Mallepa, a big melting pot where Asians such as Hongkongers, Taiwanese and Japanese live together. It was a place where people fought for order, food and freedom. It was there where Shou (Gackt), raised as an orphan and Kei (Hyde), who could live forever, met and became the best of friends. However, they were unable to escape from the fight for power involving gangs of different ethnicity on the city of Mallepa. How can one live when living requires a gun?

The poster does not really show anything that would be scary, so don't let the poster scare you away, ok! This was actually an interesting movie! Love the action scenes with Gackt and Hyde...hehehe... Sometimes it gets bloody but anybody can handle that... and there were a lot of killing, so be careful. But all in all, a pretty good movie... kind of sad too... awww!!... If you're a fan of Hyde, visit Kagen no Tsuki here on my blog!!

After his grandmother regains her health, he hurries back to Japan to reunite with Nanae, but she is nowhere to be found. Had his true feelings for Nanae not been apparent to her? Why has Nanae disappeared without a word?

Waaaa!! A Japanese-Korean collaboration!! It's so cool to see Lee Jun Ki speak in Japanese and Miyazaki Aoi in Korean!! It's a sweet movie! I love the collaboration!! So cool!! There were alos those little but funny bits of comedy that breaks the tension just a little bit. Hehehe...>_<

Bull Fighting (Drama)

Genre: Romance, Comedy

It started as a 3-on-3 basketball competition between two rival schools; an annual event in which the winner would control the 13th Street basketball court for the following year. To everybody's surprise, the 9-year reigning champion, East Sun University, lost this year... and it was all because of one girl. Yi Sheng Xue (Hebe) is the successor of the 13th street and is East Sun's biggest supporter. After a run in with ES's Shen Ruo He (Mike He), who was on his way to the game, was sabotaged by Sheng Xue's gangster troop (Lee Wei is SX's personal bodyguard). After the loss, Sheng Xue blames Ruo He for losing the court and ruining East Sun's name. Now, this game has a new purpose.

Ok... I have finished this one, and it was just an ok, story. Is it a wow factor? No. Is it worth watching? Yes. Try it, then if you can't handle it, it's ok, there are a lot of things to watch here on my list...hehehe...>_<

It Started With A Kiss 2 (Drama)

Genre: Comedy, Romance

Everything that happens after marriage will happen to the newly married couple, Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) and Xiang Qin (Ariel Lin). A lot of laughs and tears and more casts join the lovable family. What will happen when these two encounter such troubles?

Edit: Aaaaaahhh!!!... It's done!!! I miss them already!!! I can't believe it!!!... I want more!!... I was depressed for like the day after I finished watching it!... I wish ArJoe would do some more things together coz they definitely have a LOT of chemistry together! I love it!
BTW, to those who have seen it and thought the ending could be better, it is all due to the copyright of the manga. The mangaka (the artist Tada Kaoru) died before she could finish the manga. So in respect to the mangaka and for copyright reasons, the director of TKA followed the story and how it was left off... I know, it feels so short but it leaves things to the imagination (perhaps too much...) But anywayz, I still love it!!!... I'll live Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin forever!!

Traces of Love

Genre: Melodrama

Hyun Woo (Yoo Ji Tae), a law student, and Min Joo (Kim Ji Soo), a television director, are very much in love. Engagement takes the love to a whole new level. A few years later, the broken prosecutor Hyun Woo receives a journal with Min Joo's handwriting, showing where to go on their honeymoon. While traveling, Hyun Woo meets Se Jin (Eom Ji Won) that seems to be traveling the same way he is. Coincidence?

I didn't think that this movie would be that good! I was like 'whow'... 'aaahh'...and the like. Writing the synopsis was a little mind boggling 'coz I wanted to tell a few details without actually giving away the whole movie...but heck, I tried. Maybe some tears, here and there. If you liked The Classic, then I think you'll like this.

With warlords rising in war torn Japan, the remaining 5 assassins, Azumi included, from master Gessai's troop goes to work.

Wow, an action movie in here! Yay. I was actually scared of watching this beacuse of the battle scenes and all, but it was, overall, a good movie. There were a lot of familiar faces in here, even though they appear for a short while. Hmm...maybe that's why I was attracted to watch this movie...

Genre: Drama, Music

Then, probably one of the worst things that could happen to a musician, happens to Uta.

One of my favorite movies! It is a very touching movie! Have some tissues handy ok! Oh, when watching the music video, please listen to the lyrics of the song (one of my favorites). The song really brings forward the emotions that are in the movie, so please listen closely. Don't worry, the song is in English by the filipino singer Gary Valenciano (if anyone is wondering >_<). Hehehe...

It Started With a Kiss (Drama)

Genre: Romance, Comedy

After an earthquake destroyed Xiang Qin's (Ariel Lin) house, she and her father moved in with the family of her father's college buddy, Uncle Ah Li. To her surprise, the kind and amicable aunt and uncle are the parents of her cold and distant schoolmate Jiang Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng), a genius with an IQ of 200 whom not too long ago rejected her endless crush on him. Will the close proximity give her a second chance to win Zhi Shu's heart? Or, will her love for him end under his cold words? What happens when there is competition for his heart?

I'm one of the millions of people who love this drama!!! Yes!! It's so cool! I love it! I'm gonna be mean hee for a second, but truthfully, It Started With a Kiss is better than Itazura na Kiss (the Japanese Version). Sorry! I know that I have been saying that comparison should stop, but really!!!! Sorry!! I'm gonna crawl up in a ball now and watch ISWAK 2 (They Kiss Again). Yes people! Season 2!!!!

Romantic Princess (Drama)

Genre: Comedy, Romance

Adopted by middle classed parents, Xiao Mai (Angela Zhang) has always had a dream to be an heiress. Who knew that one day this dream would come true. Xiao Mai's biological grandfather is the head of a prestigous aristocratic family and after many years of searching, he finally finds his long lost granddaughter. As she starts her life as an heiress, everyday is filled with excitement, however, everything seems a bit different from what she had imagined them to be, especially with the successor Nan Feng Jin (Wu Zun) lurking around.

Wu Zun!!.... Yeah... This is a great drama!!! I hope they would have a season 2 coz the drama feels short to me. Well, that's just me...nyahaha...

IL Mare

Genre: Romance, Drama

Eun-joo (Jeon Ji Hyeon) moves out of her house "Il Mare", leaving behind a Christmas card for the eventual new owner of the house in 1999. In it she asks him/her to forward any mail of hers to her new address in the city. It is 1997 and Sung-hyun (Lee Jeong Jae), the first owner of "Il Mare" is moving in and finds in his mailbox the Christmas card from Eun-joo. Thinking it was a joke, Sung-hyun leaves her a letter telling her so and reminds her that its 1997 not 1999. Eventually the two realize that they are separated by two years of time but can somehow communicate through the mailbox and begin to form a friendship through their letters.

Sounds familiar? Because this is what the American movie, The Lake House, was based on. But still, we must not compare and contrast both movies. Let us all be open to anything.

The Promise

Genre: Romance, Drama

Daniel (Richard Guttierez) and Andrea (Angel Locsin) grew up in the same home and have been closer than real brothers and sisters ever since. But her father's goodwill to take in Daniel and bring him up does not sit well with her real older brother, who retaliates one day and kicks Daniel out. But by this time, nothing can come between the deeply in love Andrea and Daniel anymore--until the rich family on whose hacienda they've been working all these years come back. Andrea catches the eye of the rich son, while the daughter fancies Daniel, too. This will set in motion a series of events that will test how deep the two's love goes.

YES! Something from the mother land!!! I'm surprised that this movie made a move on me. Wow, that rarely happens with a Filipino movie. But anywayz, this was based on Ellis Bell's, a.k.a Emily Bronte, book Wuthering Heights. I've read the other sister's book, now I'm intruiged with this. Wahahaha.... 'Promise?'...naks...

My Girl and I

Genre: Drama

Su-ho (Cha Tae Hyun), a simple teenager, and Su-eun (Song Hye Gyo), a pretty and popular girl, start dating. Their love is for each other seems eternal. By leaving messages to each other on the phone, and through their many times together, their love grows stronger. Until a tragic event occurs.

This is the Korean remake of the Japanese movie, Crying out Love, in the Center of the World. Try not to compare both movies, for I think each movie has it's own "oomph", so just a tip, so you wouldn't ruin it for yourself. Oh, and Song Hye Gyo in the movie!...weee!

Innocent Steps

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Dance

Na Young Se (Park Keon Hyeung) was Korea's best dance instructor. When his partner and lover went to someone else, plus with the incident in the dance competition, he stopped dancing and coming out of his apartment. But he decided to give it another shot. He and his manager would bring an acclaimed dancer from China, Jang Chae Min, and take his spot in the top. Turns out, Jang Chae Min is not who she really is. Jang Chae Rin (Moon Geun Yeong) posed as her sister to save her from a fake marriage. Now Young Se's skill would be put to the test to turn an awkward hill billy to a professional dancer.

Cha Cha Cha! hehehe... This was a pretty good movie: with some laughter, awww, argh and yay moments!...hehehehe
